City Council Updates:
• 925 Cotton Grove Road rezoning: On February 9, 2026, City Council approved rezoning 925 Cotton Grove Road from Traditional Neighborhood District to Mixed Use District.
Historic Preservation:
The nomination for Dunbar School and Lincoln Park to be placed on the National Register of Historic Places was presented to the North Carolina National Register Advisory Committee on February 12, 2026. The committee then voted to approve the nominations.
