Summary:
As part of North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Tip Project P-5731 within the Depot District, the Natural Gas Department is required to relocate a 4" steel natural gas main within the North Carolina Railroad Company and Norfolk Southern Railway Company Right-of-Way. The attached pipeline agreement will supply more detail.
A North Carolina Railroad Company and Norfolk Southern Railway Company Pipeline Agreement is required before construction can begin on the East 1st Ave gas main relocation within the railroad right-of-way. The project will consist of installing approximately 305 feet of 4-inch steel pipeline within the right-of-way. The new main will connect to our existing pipeline infrastructure outside of the railroad right-of-way along East 1st Ave and East 1st Ave Extension.
