Summary:
Lexington Utilities celebrates its contributions to the community and for continuing to provide nationally recognized award-winning reliable electric and natural gas utility services to a combined customer base of over 29,000 consumers. This proclamation designates the week of October 4 through October 10, 2026, as Public Power and Natural Gas Week.
Electric holds the Diamond RP3 Award from American Public Power Association, the highest rating a public power provider can achieve nationwide.
Natural Gas holds the American Public Gas Association's SOAR Award Gold Level, which places in the top tier of the public natural gas distribution systems across the United States.
