Summary:
The Water Resources and Finance Department has prepared the Resolution to amend the City’s Water & Wastewater Fees. Recent growth in residential and industrial customers has highlighted the need to establish additional fees and adjust certain existing fees to better reflect the costs associated with providing water and wastewater services.
Implementing the amended Water & Wastewater Fees will provide additional revenue to support the City’s water and sewer systems and help offset increasing service-related costs, allowing the City to maintain lower water and sewer rates for its customers.

RESOLUTION 2026-030
RESOLUTION AMENDING FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027 FEE SCHEDULE TO ACCOUNT FOR AND TO ESTABLISH NEW WATER & WASTEWATER FUND FEES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lexington charges fees and rates for a variety of services and other actions undertaken by the City of Lexington; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lexington has reviewed recommended changes in fees and rates and concurs with those recommendations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lexington that:
Section 1. Amendments and revisions to the fee and rate schedules are hereby approved, along with the effective dates of the amendments and revisions, as described in the following attachments which are incorporated into this resolution by reference as follows:
